HM Turkey 2026

19/01/26

Approximately 27 participants graduated from the History Makers conference held in Mardin Midyat. The majority of participants expressed a strong desire to initiate new ministries within their churches and youth groups as a result of this training. Some participants shared their vision to organize local History Makers small groups or conferences in the coming year, and to launch new initiatives in children’s and youth ministries with the approval of their church leadership.

One of the common feedback points throughout the conference was that many young participants felt they had learned how to bring greater order and clarity to previously scattered areas of their spiritual lives. They expressed that they gained a clearer understanding of how to use their spiritual “compass,” recognizing both spiritual and practical steps they need to take moving forward. The training also helped them identify areas of growth needed in leadership, contributing significantly to their personal and spiritual development.

Special emphasis was given to evangelism during the conference. Participants were reminded that the Gospel is not merely theoretical knowledge but a foundational calling to be lived out daily. Through the teaching sessions, participants learned how to share Christ naturally and authentically with people around them. Many expressed that evangelism is not something to fear, but rather a way to share the love they have received from God. As a result, participants were encouraged to become more confident and intentional witnesses in their cities, churches, and relationships.

Testimonies

Harun Gülük:

"To serve in regions of Türkiye where the Gospel is difficult and sensitive, through a prayer-centered approach. To form small teams in different cities and carry out prayer walks, reaching the right people and places under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. To share the Gospel not in a rushed manner but with wisdom and sensitivity, building on personal relationships, trust, and authentic testimony. The goal is to create a sustainable spiritual impact by making Christ’s love visible on a foundation prepared through prayer."

Nazlı

"To establish a dedicated prayer room within the church, creating a space where people can deepen their relationship with God. This room will be a place of repentance, mentoring, spiritual guidance, and mutual support, where believers can pray deeply, even with tears, and experience healing. By working together with church leadership, the goal is to dedicate this space to God’s service and cultivate a lasting culture of prayer that contributes to the spiritual renewal of the community."

Rebeka Günay (Next Generation Worship)

"To express worship to God using the language and expression style of the new generation, reaching the hearts of young people in a meaningful way. To make worship not just an event but a space that builds a spiritual family and community within the church; raising young people in vocals, instruments, and spiritual leadership to establish a Christ-centered culture of worship."

Rebeka Günay (Digital Worship Space)

"To transform social media platforms from being only announcement tools into a digital space of worship that reaches young people. Through worship moments, short hymns, authentic testimonies, and messages that speak to the younger generation, making the light of Christ visible in the digital world and building an online community that spiritually encourages the next generation."
