HM Belgium 2026

09/05/26

Ten participants graduated this weekend from the History Makers Belgium 2026 programme. The training took place over two residential weekends, the first in February and the second in May 2026, hosted in a beautiful Christian retreat centre in Flanders — an ideal setting for teaching, reflection, fellowship, and practical application.

Both modules benefited from the contribution of Spanish‑speaking guest speakers. During the first weekend, two missionary brothers from El Salvador — themselves History Makers graduates who now run their own training programmes — shared teaching and experience. The second weekend welcomed a missionary couple, also from El Salvador, who are currently discipling and equipping Spanish‑speaking young people in Brussels. They too completed the History Makers training and are now investing in raising new leaders.

The group of participants was wonderfully diverse, bringing together Hispanic, Belgian, and African believers living in Belgium. Throughout the two weekends, they engaged deeply in teaching sessions, workshops, testimonies, group discussions, and times of prayer. A team‑building escape‑room activity outside in the nature that proved to be a powerful illustration of several History Makers values in action: mobilisation, visionary leadership, overcoming obstacles, the Holy Spirit and the leader, and goalsetting.

These emerging leaders are now equipped and ready to “make history” in Belgium and beyond.
